Dan Pearson

Short Biography

Dan Pearson is a landscape and garden designer with an international reputation for design and planting excellence. He trained at the RHS Gardens' Wisley and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Dan began his career as a professional designer in 1987 and Dan Pearson Studio has been a limited company since 2002.

He is a weekly gardening columnist for The Observer, before which he was a weekly columnist for The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times.  He sits on the Editorial Board of Gardens Illustrated magazine, was joint author of The Essential Garden Book (Conran Octopus) with Sir Terence Conran and author of The Garden: A Year At Home Farm (Ebury Press). His latest book, Spirit: Garden Inspiration was published by Fuel in 2009.   

He has presented and appeared in TV series on BBC2, Channel 4 and Channel 5 and appears regularly on radio.  Dan lectures widely in the UK and Europe and has been invited to speak as far afield as Chile, Argentina, South Africa, America, Australia and New Zealand.  He has designed five award-winning Chelsea Flower Show gardens.
